摘要： 硒是一种非金属元素，位于化学元素周期表第四周期VIA族，是人体必需的一种微量元素，与人类的健康息息相关。硒在生命现象、医药健康、农业食品、玻璃、电子、化工和冶金等领域发挥着重要作用。从硒的发现以及对人类和社会的重要作用出发，介绍了硒在不同领域的主要价值和应用。

Abstract: Selenium is a non-metallic element in the VIA group of the fourth cycle of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements. It is an essential trace element in the human body and is closely related to the human health. Selenium plays an important role in biological phenomena, medicine health, agricultural food, glass, electronics, chemical, metallurgy and other fields. In this paper, the main values and applications of selenium in various fields are introduced.
