摘要

表皮生长因子(epidermal growth factor, EGF)是一类具有促进细胞生长、增殖、生存和分化等 作用的蛋白质,正常情况下可促进伤口愈合、器官再生等生理过程, 但过度激活则导致癌症等疾病的发生。EGF的发现可追溯到20世纪 60年代,而做出这项奠基性贡献的是美国生物化学家斯坦利•科恩 (Stanley Cohen)。
