Abstract:  2022 is the international year of glass. Metallic glass is a novel metallic material with long-range atomic disorder and shortrange atomic order, which is a newcomer in glass and metal families and at the cutting edge of research and of current interest and significance in condensed matter physics, materials science and engineering. In the development process, Chinese scientists have great contributions on the science and technology of this field. In this article, we introduce the contributions of Chinese scientists on the development of new metallic glassy systems, related science and applications, and we also predict the role of Chinese scientists in the future of the rapidly moving field.
