Abstract: The production of liposomes is an important field in the research of nanomaterials and biomedical engineering nowadays. Especially, the production of lipids with controllable particle size, uniform size and adjustable components still faces a significant challenge. Micromixers, as one of the important components of microfluidics, can control the mixing of fluids through micron-scale channels to achieve efficient, accurate and controllable liposome production. This review outlines the methods of liposome production and the advantages of microfluidics, and introduces the application, advantages and disadvantages of different types of micromixers in liposome production, focusing on the flow mechanisms of different types of micromixers, aiming to provide some reference for the study of the application of micromixers in liposome production.
