Abstract: The growth habits of Rosa multiflora, Rosa chinensis, Rosa rugosa and the method to distinguish these three plants are introduced. Their evolutional history and cultural history are discussed. Botanical classification of Rosa multiflora and horticultural classification of Rosa chinensis are also summarized. Finally, five rose gardens in China are introduced.
