Abstract: The energy crisis is an enormous challenge to human race.Consequently, the technology development and utilization of biomass energy has become a new “hot spot” in the international arena. An overview on the current status of the research on energy plants and several suggestions on how to reasonably develop them in China were presented in this paper.
