With the fast pace of ocean exploitation, unmanned underwater vehicles,as the most important means of ocean exploration for human, gained unprecedented attention and development. In this article, the definition and classification of the unmanned underwater vehicles are given. The current status and developing tendency of unmanned underwater vehicles in recent years are introduced, and the key technologies and future development direction of autonomous underwater vehicle are analyzed.

Micro/nanorobots can be defined as tiny robots with typical dimensions at the micro/nanoscales (several nanometers to
hundreds of micrometers), which can convert magnetic, light, ultrasound or other forms of energy into their mechanical motion.
The potential capabilities of localized diagnosis and treatment with higher precision and efficiency make the micro/nanorobots a
promising tool for a variety of biomedical applications. This article reviews recent research progress in preparation, driving of the
micro/nanorobots, with a special focus on their preliminary applications for directed drug delivery in vivo. In addition, we discuss the
challenges of in vivo applications and future trends.

As one of nanoscale energy conversion devices, nanomotors can realize directional motion by transforming other forms of energy into mechanical energy. This article presents a brief review on recent advances in device physics of nanomotors, with a concise discussion about their limitations in practical applications and a preliminary prospect of the field.

In order to adapt to various combat tasks in the increasingly complex marine environment, unmanned surface vehicles usually operate cooperatively in a group mode, among which unmanned surface vehicles formation control has developed rapidly in recent years. The present paper reviews the development of unmanned surface vehicle structures presently, and discusses the latest research of three key technologies, i.e., unmanned surface vehicles tasks assignment, formation control and obstacle avoidance. Finally, the research directions and future trends of unmanned vehicle formation control are summarized and prospected.

In recent years, soft robots have been the research focus in the field of robot research. Their main structures are made of hyperelastic materials or flexible materials, which have unique advantages in compliance, safety, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness.
With the development of the soft robot, the choice of its actuating mode has been particularly important. As one of the important
actuating modes of the soft robot, the fluid actuating technology can fully adapt to the complex motion of the soft robot under a high degree of freedom. We review the applications of traditional fluid actuation technologies (such as pneumatic actuation and hydraulic actuation), and discuss the latest intelligent fluid actuation technologies (such as hydraulically amplified self-healing electrostatic and electro-conjugate fluid), as well as the research progress of all-software fluid basic components. Finally, the future key research directions of fluid actuation technology are proposed.

Antarctic scientific expeditions are of immense significance for understanding global climate change, ecosystem protection, and the history of the Earth itself. With the advancement of technology, the application of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) in Antarctic research has been increasingly widespread. USVs can conduct environmental exploration and data collection in extreme conditions, providing valuable data for Antarctic expeditions. This article first introduces the application of USVs in Antarctic expeditions at home and abroad, as well as the value they reflect. Then, it analyzes the technical characteristics of USVs for Antarctic expeditions and the prospects for future application and promotion. Finally, development suggestions for USVs and related technologies are proposed from aspects such as adapting to extreme environments, long-term maritime operations, and marine environmental cognition.
