Research progress of scintillation materials for neutron detection

摘要: 中国散裂中子源的建成,填补了中国脉冲中子源及应用领域的空白,标志着中国在中子技术方面达到国际先进水平。基于此,文章概述了中子技术在多学科领域的应用,并将闪烁材料分为有机闪烁材料和无机闪烁材料进行总结,重点梳理了国内外常用及新型闪烁材料在中子探测方面的研究现状及应用情况,特别是对比总结了不同中子探测用闪烁材料的性能差异。最后,文章对中子探测闪烁材料及其改进方案进行归纳分析,并对其发展趋势进行展望,以期为中国中子探测技术及闪烁材料的发展提供参考。

Abstract: The construction of China Spallation Neutron Source filled the gap in pulsed neutron source and application field in China, marking that China has reached the international advanced level in neutron technology. Based on this, the application of neutron technology in multi-disciplinary fields is summarized, and scintillation materials are divided into organic scintillation materials and inorganic scintillation materials. The research status and application of common and new scintillation materials in neutron detection at home and abroad are reviewed, and the performance differences of different scintillation materials used in neutron detection are compared and summarized. Finally, the scintillation materials for neutron detection and their improvement schemes are summarized and analyzed, and the development trend of scintillation materials is prospected, in order to provide reference for the development of neutron detection technology and scintillation materials in China.
