摘要

希格斯机制是一个用于解释基本粒子质量起源的物理机制。文章介绍了希格斯机制的基本概念,并运用多项式函数等初等数学知识阐释了希格斯机制和自发对称性破缺的物理内涵,最后评述了对称性思想在现代科学发展中的重要意义。

Abstract

The Higgs mechanism is a physical mechanism that understands the origin of the masses of elementary particles. This article introduces the basic concepts of Higgs mechanism and spontaneous symmetry breaking, and explains their physical connotations using the elementary mathematical knowledge such as polynomial function. Finally, the significance of symmetry ideas in modern scientific development is discussed.
