Abstract: In recent years, atomic dispersed metal catalysts (ADMCs) have attracted wide attentions in the field of electrocatalysis due to their maximum atomic utilization efficiency (100%), unique active sites and high catalytic activity, stability and selectivity. Currently, as a prospective supporting material, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been widely used for the preparation of ADMCs due to their specific molecular structure blocks, adjustable functional groups and effective coordination. In this review, the development of ADMCs derived from MOFs and their applications in electrochemical catalytic oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) are discussed. This paper also discussed the important progress of ADMCs made in this area, as well as some of the challenges and opportunities.
