Abstract: For a long time astronomers have paid great effects to determine R_⊙, the distance from the Sun to the Galactic center in different ways, including primary measurements, secondary measurements, and indirect measurements. Now, the best adopted value for R_⊙ is (8.0±0.5) kpc.
