Measurements of the Galactocentric Distance from the Sun

Abstract: For a long time astronomers have paid great effects to determine R, the distance from the Sun to the Galactic center in different ways, including primary measurements, secondary measurements, and indirect measurements. Now, the best adopted value for R is (8.0±0.5) kpc.
