Abstract: Neutron Capature Therapy is now a new option for tumor treatment and is becoming a routine therapy for tumor treatment. The difficulties for the development of that firstly is the compound mixed with Boron. At present, it has enterec the 3rd development phase, that is, the breakthrough on the treatment effectiveness for the particular tumor. Secondly. It is the difficulty with neutron resources device. The old research reactors have no affinity of the clinical treatment and most of them have reached the retirement time. Therefore, it is hard to use the old reactors as the basic facility for the promotion of the routine treatment.
The In-hospital Neutron lrradiator specially designed for the Neutron Capture Therapy based on the miniature reactor which has been successfully ceveloped by China can be installed inside the hospital and operated directly by doctors. The device has 2 neutron beams for the irradiation treatment of the shallow and deep tumors. It has provided a safe, simple and practical treatment oevice for the realization of the routine treatment of Neutron Capture Therapy.
