摘要： 笔者主要介绍了近代科学在中国本土化时期，中国科学界为参加以科学进步为主线的1933年芝加哥世界博览会所做的筹备工作，以及准备选送的科学赛品的科学水平，并对其在科学史上的意义进行评述。
