摘要： 随着2012年的来临，我们需要为世界末日担忧吗？在简单介绍玛雅天文学的基础上，重点介绍玛雅历法，揭示玛雅历法与世界末日之间的关系。作者相信2012年12月21日不会是世界末日，只是玛雅历法的一个新的开始。

Abstract: With humanity coming up on 2012, should we worry about end of the world 2012 predictions? After a general introduction to Maya astronomy, Maya calendar is introduced in detail for the origin of the prediction that the world will end in 2012. In the author’s eyes, nothing bad will happen to the Earth in 2012 and December 21, 2012 is the end of the Maya longcount period but then another longcount period begins for the Maya calendar.
