摘要: 许多模式生物都被用来开展寿命相关的研究,其中秀丽隐杆线虫因其具有研究周期短、突变体多、在信号通路方面和人类具有高度相似性等优势而广受青睐。在过去的30 多年里,科学家们对线虫的研究使得我们对调控衰老和长寿的分子机制有了飞跃式的进步。

Abstract: Many model organisms were used to study mechanisms of aging and longevity, of which Caenorhabditis elegans is the most widely used one owing to its advantages of short life span, plentiful mutant resource and high conservation in signal pathways with humans. In the past 30 years, scientists have learned a lot from C. elegans research and provided us important informations to understand genetic regulation of longevity and aging.
