摘要: 地理学第一定律(TFL)由美国地理学家Tobler提出。由于计算机和遥感的应用推动了传统地理学的革命,第一定律作为定量地理空间分析的基础概念,在地理学及相关学科引起巨大反响。但它关于距离的定义和空间邻近关系的描述是含糊的,这局限了它的进一步应用。为此,我们提出加入时间维,用“流”的概念来理解和表达传统应用中的“距离”,从而用“时空邻近度”来替代“空间邻近度”,以促进地理学第一定律的更广泛应用。

Abstract: Geographic First Law (also called Tobler First Law, TFL) was primarily introduced by Waldo Tobler, an American geographer, and then spread and applied as one of the fundamentals of quantitative spatial analysis. However, the concepts of geographic distance and spatialadjacency have been only vaguely defined to adapt practical applications. It was suggested to add timedimension, so that the concepts would be clearer. Therefore, the concept of “flow” is applied to understand and express distance and adjacency, resulting in a concept of spatialtemporal proximity, in order to advance wider applications of TFL.
